Making it last
A smoothening treatment lasts roughly three to five months, and how you care for it decides where in that range you land. For the first 48 to 72 hours, avoid washing, tying or clipping your hair, this is when the treatment settles into the strand. After that, switch to a sulphate-free shampoo, since regular shampoo strips the treatment faster, and use a mild conditioner to keep the softness going. Treatments done just before the monsoon tend to need a refresh sooner than those done in drier months, so many clients time theirs for the start of humid season. Your stylist will give you the full aftercare routine before you leave.
